Valentino Rossi officially issued his first statement and prediction regarding Marc Marquez's possible performance at Ducati next year.
The presence of Marc Marquez on Ducati from the Repsol Honda team for the 2024 MotoGP season should give the Spanish racer new enthusiasm to return to the hunt for the MotoGP title.
Marquez has won a total of six premier class titles, only one title behind his eternal rival, Rossi. It has been suggested that high hopes have been opened since Marc Marquez's move to Ducati, considering that throughout the 2023 season his performance with Repsol Honda was quite ordinary.
"Marc's arrival will be very interesting to watch," said Rossi as quoted by GPOne ahead of the Valencia test. “Just like how Ducati will manage it. Marc will be very dangerous and our team must be in top condition.” added Rossi.
What's interesting is that Marquez's last race for Honda at the Valencia MotoGP last week was punctuated by a dispute with Rossi's protégé, VR46 racer Marco Bezzecchi.
Marc Marquez on Ducati, Antangin Continues Support for Gresini
The presence of Marc Marquez at Ducati brings fresh air and enthusiasm for one of the local brands, namely Antangin, to continue its collaboration with the Gresini Racing Ducati team.
PT Deltomed as the company that produces Antangin is clearly attracted by the presence of Marc Marquez at Ducati so much so that they have officially extended their sponsorship for Gresini Racing Ducati in the upcoming 2024 MotoGP.
With this sponsorship, it is certain that the Antangin logo will be affixed to the motorbike and the attributes of the two brothers Marc and Alex Marquez. What's great about Antangin's contract clause is that his cooperation extends until the end of 2025.
This is certainly positive news considering that previously another local name, namely Wonderful Indonesia, had entered into a partnership with Gresini. It cannot be denied that Gresini Racing's performance as a satellite team in this year's MotoGP season is quite troublesome when competing with factory teams.
Replacing the young Diggia racer, Marc Marquez's presence at Ducati has clearly brought a windfall for the team. The reason is that after officially extending the contract between Gresini and Antangin, it is possible that other local sponsors such as Aspira, MS Glow For Men, Federal Oil, and even Bold Riders will follow.
